Somatic movement addresses an accumulation of tension that develops in response to stress or trauma which occurs at the level of your nervous system. With continued self-exploration and a deeper understanding of oneself and the internal landscape of the body, one can re-pattern what has been lost through self-correction and intelligent, slow movement. This practice is suitable for everyone in today’s stressful world, for those who want to improve their posture, get rid of pain and move freely. It’s the basis of everything else.
