STRONG AND HEALTHY BACK & SPINE

Over 80% of the population experience back pain at some point in their lives. Present-day living is very sedentary in comparison to our ancestors e.g. sitting in front of screens all day long, always looking forward, looking down, hunched over posture, being inactive for hours at a time, deprived of oxygen (not breathing properly) and light and much more. Not a pretty picture right? But with proper movement and fresh air, we can counteract much of this if not all.
In this course, we will recognise your daily habits, all for the purpose of learning and protecting the spine and back. Each and every day we have to sit, stand and lie down so it’s important to first understand how we are doing all three of those and how that might be affecting our overall health and well-being.
Good posture is vital for good health. I’m not talking about the stand-up straight, shoulders back posture, as one of your elders might have once told you, I’m talking about proper alignment and ease in the body so that all the body structures are communicating together and functioning well, movement feels effortless. Sometimes a tight gut is not the answer for a healthy back. I will explain fully during the course.
I invite all healthy spines (prevention) and maybe not-so-healthy spines to join us or discuss with me if this course is suitable. I have watched many students go from being hardly able to get up from the chair to being pain-free and agile again with simple movement and strengthening.
